Board of Adjustment approves consent agenda, postpones special-exception item to May 22

The Mesquite Board of Adjustment approved its consent agenda by a unanimous roll call vote early in the April 24 meeting and announced that a separately listed special-exception item will be re-noticed for the board’s May 22 meeting.
During the roll call for the consent agenda, Clerk Madam Clark recorded Yes votes from Earhart, Augustine, Williams and Barabano and the motion carried 4–0. Later, the Chair announced that agenda item identified in the record as a special-exception filing would be postponed and re-noticed for May 22, 2025.
The board then proceeded to contested cases, where staff briefed the board on a variance request for 814 Meandering Way and the board ultimately denied that request by a 4–0 roll call vote. The meeting concluded after a brief staff-liaison announcement and adjournment.
