One council member proposed making the peddlers fee $0 while keeping a registration requirement so the city knows who is operating in town.
Council asked staff to reword the ordinance options and return drafts for first and second readings in time for summer events. In the interim council members agreed staff could accept registrations without collecting fees until the ordinance is finalized.
