“Basically, it follows the same timeline we’ve had before, looking at finishing up with the budget by March 18, and then presenting it to the governing body on March 19,” Sharon Alexander said. She cautioned that the March 19 presentation date is subject to the governing body’s agenda.
Board members clarified that the finance committee will handle budget-related meetings; the presenter noted that committee members may place other items on their agendas but that the listed dates cover budget items. No formal action was taken on the calendar at this meeting; staff said they will ask the board to take action at the next meeting.
The board also reviewed upcoming meeting dates tied to the budget process, including a regular school board meeting on Sept. 16 and a work session Oct. 7.
