A little after 11:30 a.m., the Revenue Policy Subcommittee of the House Ways and Means Committee approved an amendment and voted 5-0 to give House Bill 33 68 a favorable report as amended.
Representative Lowe introduced the amendment, saying it "updates South Carolina conformity to the Internal Revenue Code through 2025, and including expired provisions of the federal code that are extended but are not all are not otherwise amended." The chair asked members for questions; none were raised, and the amendment passed on a voice vote.
The chair then called for a roll call on the bill as amended. Members recorded their votes as follows: Bannister — Aye; Hewitt — Aye; Lowe — Aye; Stefanakis — Aye; Crawford — Aye. The chair announced "A vote of 5 0" and stated that the subcommittee "gives house bill 33 68 as amended a favorable report." The committee noted that Caleb Mickler was listed as a speaker but no testimony was taken on the amendment.
The meeting adjourned with no further business on the agenda.
