Mesquite Board of Adjustments approves larger accessory structure at 6600 Thames Drive

The City of Mesquite Board of Adjustments voted 4-1 on Feb. 26 to approve a special exception allowing an 1,800-square-foot accessory structure at 6600 Thames Drive.
Carolyn Horner of the city’s Planning and Zoning Department told the board the application by Scott Cameron proposes a 1,200-square-foot shop with a 600-square-foot awning for a total of 1,800 square feet. Horner said the Mesquite zoning ordinance allows a maximum of 1,000 square feet in the agricultural district and that the Berkshire Estates development agreement allows up to 1,200 square feet.
