The Board of Adjustment of the City of Mesquite on Sept. 25 approved a request to reconsider a prior case (agenda item 5, BOA0925-0479), citing new or clarified evidence not available at the original hearing.
Board member Aiken moved to grant the reconsideration after noting the applicant had provided additional supporting documents; a second was offered and the motion carried 4 to 0. Staff told the board that updated information had been supplied and could be presented with a related agenda item.
The action means the previously decided matter will return to the board for further consideration based on the newly submitted material. The chair reminded attendees that board decisions are not official until filed in the board's office and that, per the Mesquite Zoning Ordinance, a request for reconsideration must follow the ordinance procedure.
