Council approves consent agenda, appoints Patricia Delagarza to personnel trial board

Staff explained the board’s duties (hearing employee disciplinary appeals and civil service test appeals), its infrequent meeting schedule and the value of a third member to avoid tie votes. Council moved, and the motion passed unanimously 7–0 to appoint Delagarza to a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
What’s next: the appointment is effective immediately and the city will proceed with any required onboarding and scheduling for the board.
