The commission unanimously continued and tabled the public hearing to the May 13, 2025 Planning & Zoning meeting (5-0).
• Item 14 (specific use permit, Miller Minor Automotive, SUP 20416): After public comment and staff presentation the commission recommended approval (5-0) of a minor automobile repair SUP limited to the western suite shown in the exhibits, with conditions that a wall be installed prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy, staff correct the staff report wording from "major" to "minor," and muffler work be expressly forbidden at the site. The case will be scheduled for City Council on May 6, 2025 for final action.
These outcomes reflect the commission's effort to balance neighborhood concerns about adjacency, noise and traffic with property owners' rights and staff legal guidance; residents were advised code enforcement is the mechanism to report alleged violations after an SUP is issued.
