The Frisco Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously to rescind a specific use permit for a licensed childcare facility that had been approved by city council in June 2024. Development services staff said the property owner, Rising 5, LLC, informed the city it would no longer use the SUP for that location and requested rescission.
Staff recommended approval of the rescission and the commission opened and closed the public hearing without speakers. Commissioner Steve (Stephen Cohn) moved to rescind the SUP as recommended by staff; the motion was seconded and passed 6-0.
The rescission is a removal of the entitlement at the owner’s request; the commission’s action was procedural and does not include additional conditions.
