Frisco commission grants 30-day extension for Walmart addition public hearing

The Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to grant a 30-day extension and continue the public hearing on a proposed Walmart addition to the Nov. 11, 2025 Planning and Zoning meeting.
A development services staff member said the applicant requested a 30-day extension and staff recommended approval of that extension to continue the public hearing. "Staff recommends approval of the 30 day extension, continue the public hearing, and table the item to the 11/11/2025 meeting," the staff member said.
Commissioner John Kendall moved to accept the applicant’s request for the 30-day extension; Commissioner Sean Merrill seconded the motion. The commission voted by voice and the motion passed 6-0.
The extension keeps the public hearing open and schedules further consideration at the commission’s Nov. 11 meeting; any additional materials the applicant provides should be available in the meeting packet when posted.
