Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission approves two replats, grants extensions; commissioner recuses

Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Britney Kolberg opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. at 6101 Frisco Square Boulevard and led the panel through routine business before addressing three public-hearing replat items.
Staff asked the commission to grant a 30-day extension for Item 16 (Frisco original donation, Block 70, Lot 15; owner Sarah Hamilton) so the public hearing could be continued to the commission's Dec. 9 meeting. The commission moved to table the item and keep the public hearing open; the motion passed 6-0.
The commission then considered Item 17 (Synergy Retail, Block A, Lot 4; owner AH Frisco LLC). Staff said the replat was intended to abandon and dedicate easements necessary for development and that the plat conforms to a previously approved site plan. Commissioners voted to approve Item 17 as recommended by staff; the motion passed 6-0.
For Item 18 (Frisco Market Center, Block A, Lot 18; owner Apex Frisco Real Estate LLC), Commissioner Sean Merrill recused himself from the dais. A staff presenter asked that the public hearing be continued and recommended a 30-day extension; the commission approved the extension and tabled the matter to Dec. 9. The motion passed 5-0 with the recusal recorded.
The commission also approved regular meeting minutes and corrected work-session minutes from Nov. 11 and adopted the consent agenda (items 4–15) without discussion. Staff reported that city council had approved the ordinance for a Champions zoning case previously recommended by the commission. The body set its next meeting for Dec. 9 at the Frisco Independent School District administration building on Ohio.
The meeting adjourned at 6:41 p.m.
