Kellen Graves, Employer Engagement Team Supervisor with the Fairfax County Department of Family Services, told attendees the county will host a targeted career fair for federal workers and contractors on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center.
Graves said the county aims to attract up to 50 employers and that the Eventbrite registration page will list participating employers and sample positions as they are confirmed. He named several organizations expected at the fair, including CACI, PRISM, Capital One, Fairfax County Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools and the City of Manassas, and said the county will email event details and links to registrants.
Panelists on the webinar urged attendees to use the event strategically: research specific employers and roles in advance, tailor resumes to highlight individual impact, and seek informational conversations with potential hiring managers. The county also offers periodic Human Resources info sessions to help applicants meet minimum qualification requirements for local government positions.
Registration and employer updates are available via the Eventbrite page linked from Fairfax County event listings; Graves said he would email attendees the registration and employer information after the webinar.
