Graham said the buses arrived months later and the auditors noted the timing as a finding. He described conversations with the Department of Education and said staff were advised on corrective-action requirements; Graham also told the board he was advised they did not need to complete certain corrective-action paperwork in this instance. He described the matter as a serious finding to avoid repeating in future audits.
The board approved the audit (vote 5-0) after Graham recommended acceptance "as presented" with the single finding noted. Board members contrasted the finding with several years of clean audits prior to this report and thanked central-office staff for work on the district’s finance and bookkeeping.
