The Mansfield Economic Development Corporation on Dec. 2 unanimously approved an extension request connected to a grant for Mauser, allowing staff to move forward with payment under the terms presented.
Jason, the staff presenter, said the EDC believed there had been a single agreement but discovered multiple agreements requiring the board to ratify an extension so the grant could be paid. He said this required changing the certificate-of-occupancy date in order to meet the agreement’s requirements and that the developer had met the original intent of the agreement.
The item was introduced as item 25‑1629 on the agenda. The board made and seconded a motion and recorded approval by a 6–0 vote.
No public comment was recorded on the item in the transcript. The board’s action authorizes staff to finalize the extension consistent with the agreement language presented; timing and payment are subject to the terms in the approved documents.
