The presiding officer conducted the roll call and called for the motion; Melinda moved to adopt and the motion carried 5-0.
Why it matters: staff told the board the plan identifies near‑term projects — including completion work at Rose Park, phase updates to Walnut Creek and Julian Field/Veterans Memorial — and frames longer‑term options such as a proposed indoor aquatic and community facility. Board members asked staff to clarify benchmarks and comparisons to peer cities; staff said they refined benchmarks and added more cities for relevant comparisons. The plan also adds a Partners in Play focus to leverage HOAs and other community partners for programming and access, and proposes adding about two miles of trail per year as part of the trail signage and expansion effort.
