Board approves gifts, trust-signature update and school handbooks

At the Aug. 19 meeting the Little Falls Community Schools Board of Education approved a set of routine but legally necessary items: acceptance of gifts, an updated bank resolution for the Tomah Trust account and approval of employee and district handbooks.

Kelsey presented a resolution to accept donations to Little Falls Community Schools, including two Flyer Athletic Boosters donations of $3,500 (for tennis wind nets and for soccer goals) and a $7,100 donation from Kathy Adebek to the Bridal Area Scholarship Fund; the resolution passed on a roll-call vote. Later in the meeting the board approved a Tomah Trust signature-resolution updating records after Bank Midwest’s acquisition by BMO; the resolution authorized Superintendent Greg Johnson and business manager Chris Muvic as signatories. The board also approved the employee handbook and a single combined vote to adopt the district handbooks for the high school, middle school, Lincoln, Lindbergh, Doctor Knight, ECC and CEC. The meeting concluded with routine board reports and adjournment.
