Board schedules presentation to explain proposed fall 2026 bond referendum

The presentation, the staff member said, will cover why a bond referendum is being considered, how state aid affects the proposal, the structure of two ballot questions and a breakdown of projects included in each question.
The staff member urged community engagement and said materials would be posted on the district website for residents to review ahead of the presentation. The board previously communicated about the proposal on Feb. 6 and Feb. 20 and has convened an ad hoc committee to review changes; that committee will meet again this week, a board member said.
No formal vote on the referendum occurred at the March 2 meeting. The board also announced a change of its next regular meeting from March 16 to March 23; staff said the referendum overview will be given at an upcoming board meeting at 7:30 p.m.
