Commission forwards MacArthur Park restaurant’s request to sell alcohol to city council

Michael Hale, representing the ownership group for MacArthur Park Property, said the owner supports the use and that “Velvet Taco will be the restaurant operator.” Hale, who identified his address in Irving, said design consultants and the restaurant operator were in attendance and that the proposed use is consistent with other shopping‑center uses.
No speakers registered opposition at the public hearing. A committee member moved to forward the case to city council for approval and the motion was seconded; the commission recorded the vote as unanimous in favor.
The commission thanked Hale and noted anticipation of the new restaurant.
