WEDC and DATCP push trade missions, open second IMAG grant window Feb. 1–Mar. 15

Aaron Ditzelberger (Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation) and Deputy Secretary Eileen Switzer (Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection) described an active trade-mission calendar and urged companies to take advantage of state grant support and WEDC services.
Ditzelberger summarized WEDC’s immediate recruitment push for missions to Mexico (Guadalajara, Mexico City), China (Shanghai and Shenzhen), Germany and Canada. He said WEDC can build customized business-to-business schedules and handle logistics for participating companies.
On grant timing, Ditzelberger said WEDC and DATCP will open a second IMAG (International Market Access Grant) window on Feb. 1 that will run through March 15, and he encouraged companies to apply early so applications can move through underwriting and contracting. “We will run a second grant window, which will begin February 1… and will run through March 15,” he said. He noted companies approved in this window will have until Dec. 31, 2025 to complete their projects.
Speakers emphasized coordination between the Wisconsin Initiative for Agricultural Exports (WIAE) funds administered by DATCP and WEDC’s IMAG funds to expand recruitment and support for exporters. WEDC staff offered to run additional informational webinars and to assist companies with application questions.
Council members were asked to promote the Feb. 1–March 15 window to potential exporters and to use upcoming webinars for application guidance.
