Committee advances bill to name I‑35/Indian Hills interchange for Toby Keith

"Senate bill 1475 will designate the interchange of I‑35 and Indian Hills Road to be known as the Toby Keith Memorial Interchange," Standridge said, and he yielded for questions.
Senator Weaver asked whether the family supports the naming, noting public conversations online. Standridge replied that ODOT had reached out to the family and that the family supports the interchange naming. The sponsor clarified that this item concerns the ODOT interchange and not the turnpike naming considered separately last week.
There was no debate after those clarifications. The clerk called the roll and the committee advanced the bill with 11 ayes and 0 nays.
The bill will move forward for further consideration.
