He said the district manages roughly 80 paid middle‑school and high‑school coaches and has established a middle‑school athletic parents committee of 16 members.
Brad described a plan to survey parents twice each sports season (midseason and end of season) to collect feedback and head off issues early. He also said the district started a formal orientation program for new coaches and had met with athletic trainers and finance staff to review safety and budget matters.
Facilities updates included the new track — Brad said it was 99% done with a handful of punch‑list items remaining — and completion of a high‑school gym wall to improve sound control in the wellness center. Brad also recognized fall team success: both high‑school and middle‑school football teams were undefeated at the time of the report, cross country ranked fifth in the state (Division III), and soccer teams ranked highly in regional polls.
The board asked a few clarifying questions about which surveys apply to middle and high school; Brad confirmed both levels will receive the surveys. No formal action was required from the board on the athletics report.
