Board approves routine consent items, separates finance item for recusal and affirms superintendent disciplinary action after executive session

Executive session and disciplinary resolution: After convening in executive session pursuant to NJSA 10:4‑12 to discuss personnel and pupil matters, the board read a resolution affirming the superintendent’s disciplinary suspension of student number 903123 for a serious violation of the student code of conduct on or about May 23, 2024. The board moved, seconded and voted to affirm the superintendent’s determination. Recorded roll‑call votes on that resolution were: Mister Donnie — No; Miss Kwok — Yes; Miss McCallie — Yes; Mister Mahmood — Yes; Miss Brogan — Yes. The motion passed.
What’s next: Several items (including the May 20 public meeting minutes) were tabled to the June 24 meeting; routine finance and facilities work will continue through summer as staff finalize contracts and projects.
