David defined postvention as "an organized response aimed at supporting affected individuals" and said the county had developed pocket cards, a grief-and-loss website and survivor-connection cards with QR codes for distribution. "By accessing that website through that QR code or through the website, we'll give the individual everything they need or what we have to provide for them and resources to develop the emotional recovery of their loss," he said.
The presenter explained that partners include investigators, funeral homes, hospitals, schools and faith leaders and that the office of the medical examiner has worked on ways to share information with outreach teams. Council members tested the QR-linked materials during the meeting; one council member said the online resource ran 19 pages and praised the content as "very impressive." The presenter left printed pocket cards for council members and said the materials are intended for use by city officials, schools and public-safety personnel.
The council did not take formal action but thanked the presenter and encouraged distribution through community partners. Materials and the QR codes were offered to council members for local distribution and for inclusion in first-responder and school outreach.
