The Grundy County Finance Committee on Jan. 12 approved routine minutes and claims and heard a presentation on the county's draft 2026–2030 capital improvement plan.
Chair called for a motion to approve the minutes of the finance committee; Tina moved and Jerry seconded. The motion carried. The chair introduced board-member vouchers and said, "The total was $2,960." Tina moved to approve the vouchers, Jerry seconded and the motion carried. Jerry then moved to approve the treasurer's claims, Tina seconded and the committee again approved the motion.
The actions cleared at the meeting were procedural, allowing staff to proceed with the items listed in the agenda packet. No health department report was presented, and the committee did not enter executive session.
Finance Director provided brief updates and flagged items for next month, including a proposal to replace the CIC accounting software and a plan for the assessor's office to increase cross-training and supervisory roles; presentations from Stephanie and Marsha were noted as likely at the next meeting. The meeting adjourned after a motion by Jerry and a second by Eric.
The committee announced insurance as the next agenda item after adjournment.
