The board approved a memorandum of understanding to adopt the California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) as the district’s state-authorized college/career planning platform and added a requirement that district data be prepared for upload prior to the state's June window, with a March target date and progress reporting.
The board voted unanimously to approve a data-sharing and services memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Foundation for California Community Colleges for the California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI), a legislatively authorized platform that will replace Naviance for student college and career planning.
Ed Services staff said the MOU will allow the district to upload transcript and course data securely to californiacolleges.edu and align courses to A–G requirements. Staff noted the schedule is constrained by vendor integration and the state’s upload window; they said the MOU must be signed by Jan. 1, 2026, with the principal upload window running from January through June and a targeted upload completion by June 30, 2026.
A board member moved to approve the MOU with the additional requirement that district data be prepared and ready for upload by a March 9 target date (three months before the June window) and that the board be informed if the district cannot meet that date and why. That motion, seconded and discussed, carried 5–0.
Staff said the district will coordinate with its student information system (Aeries) and CCGI to complete the transfer and will amend the district’s contract with Naviance to avoid any gap in services for the class of 2026.
