The Lake County board voted March 3 to approve a joint resolution renewing an intergovernmental agreement for police services between the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake County Tech campus (District 849), at an estimated annual amount of $123,949.97.
Jim Chermick of the Sheriff’s Office described the item as a renewal contract and said the agreement had been reviewed by the State's Attorney's office and county finance. He noted it is the fourth contract with the tech campus and said the office has run the renewal past legal and finance staff.
Board members had no questions about the renewal; the motion passed without opposition.
The resolution (agenda item 8.9) approves the intergovernmental agreement and the estimated annual compensation for sheriff services to the tech campus.
No amendments were requested; procurement and contract management will be handled by the Sheriff’s Office and county finance per normal renewal procedures.
