Chair Derek Hoxley presented the consent agenda and the board approved the appointment of Anthony Weese, Deborah L. Goodwin, Tara Wilder Evans and Kimberly Norton to the 708 mental health board; the clerk recorded the vote as 13 ayes, no nays and 1 abstention.
The board also voted to add a third IT specialist (classified as a level C6), a move said to allow Knox County IT staff to take on work the City of Galesburg has been performing for the sheriff's office and to realize licensing cost savings. The resolution to authorize the additional IT position passed following discussion about training, licensing and committee referral.
