Commissioners approve reappointment, contracts and permits in routine business

During routine business on July 29 the Knox County Board of Commissioners approved multiple items by voice vote.
The board reappointed Julia Suggs to the Mount Vernon Public Library board; the motion was made and seconded and approved by voice vote.
The commissioners approved a contract amendment between Knox County Job and Family Services and the Winter Sanctuary to add $15,000 in emergency shelter services funded with TANF dollars, increasing the contract to not exceed $30,000.
The board approved a memorandum of agreement with Lincoln County Job and Family Services to provide child‑care provider licensing and inspection services (not to exceed $20,000), approved renewal of the jail inmate telephone services agreement and a commissary services agreement (paid through commissary funds), and approved an agreement with Burgess to perform load‑rating work on 84 bridges for $168,200.
Commissioners also approved multiple utility permits in Union and Hallett townships (various applicants) and entered into the record a general fund revenue deposit of $188,976.92. All motions in the recorded sequence were seconded and carried by voice vote.
