Madison Welcher, introduced at the meeting as the new 4‑H extension educator for Yankton County, said she planned to begin moving into the space immediately and hoped to be settled by the end of the month. "It's my slow time of the year, so no time better than now," Welcher said.
Next steps: staff will send the signed lease to the state for signature and assist with moving the extension office into the basement as planned.
