During public participation, a brewery representative updated the council on progress toward reopening and operating a local brewery.
The representative said the project is in due diligence with a private equity firm that is reviewing a data room of about 75 documents. "Right now, we are in the due diligence process with a private equity firm, and they are pouring over our data room," the speaker said. He added the equity group was "very interested" and that other projects in the city were also drawing investor attention.
The speaker said federal and state manufacturing and distribution licenses had been received and contractors were lined up; once funding clears, the build-out could take roughly 3–4 months though timing depends on contractor availability. The representative asked for and received the council's continued support.
No formal action was requested or taken; staff and council members expressed encouragement.
