Board approves tentative MOU with Deputy Sheriffs Association for Units 3 and 4

The Solano County Board of Supervisors on March 3 approved resolutions accepting tentative agreements with the Solano County Deputy Sheriffs Association for Units 3 (law enforcement employees) and 4 (law enforcement supervisors).
Nyjah Edwards, the county's human resources director, reported the county had met and conferred with both units and that each unit ratified its tentative agreement. The agreements include standard successor memorandum of understanding terms for March 3, 2026, through Oct. 28, 2028, and contain side letters concerning pay parity and treatment of any future COLA or lump‑sum cash offerings that may arise in negotiation with other units.
The board moved and seconded the recommendation and adopted the resolutions by a recorded vote of 4–0. No public speakers were registered for this item. Edwards said the director of human resources will prepare final executed MOUs consistent with the tentative agreements and that ministerial, non‑substantive adjustments may be made prior to signature.
