The West Windsor Planning Board opened its Jan. 15 meeting by swearing in reappointed planning board members and completing its annual reorganization.
The board swore in reappointed members Jodika, Alan Chitcal, and Robert Rivera at the start of the meeting. Following the oath ceremonies, a nomination was made and seconded for Mike Karp to serve as chairman of the Planning Board for 2025; the board confirmed leadership during reorganization proceedings, and the gavel was passed in the course of the meeting.
The board also selected Lisa Kilnjadi as administrative secretary and Patricia Van Cleft as recording secretary; the selections were affirmed by the board. The chair introduced the Planning Board procedural guidelines for 2025 (PB resolution 2025 r01), noting two corrections to the document: the meeting start time was corrected to 6:30 p.m. and the targeted ending time to 9:30 p.m. After discussion, a motion to adopt the guidelines (with the corrections) was made, seconded, and approved.
The chair read the consent agenda (newspapers of record, the regular meeting schedule PB 2025 r03, professional services appointments including planner and board engineers, and department liaisons). After clarifications and a minor date correction in a professional‑services term, the consent agenda was approved by voice vote.
The board moved through minutes review and approval for prior meetings and then proceeded to the evening’s substantive agenda items.
