Engineering staff presented the results of the 2026 crushing contract bid opening and recommended awarding the work to PGA Incorporated after receiving seven bids.
“...the low qualified bidder was found to be PGA Incorporated, who we’ve worked up with in the past, and they had a bid of a $109,000 even,” the engineering presenter said, noting the bid was below the city’s engineering estimate.
Ryan moved to award the contract to PGA Incorporated in the amount of $109,000; a colleague seconded the motion and the committee approved it with the ayes prevailing (recorded as 3-0).
The presenter said contracting steps — including securing insurance, bonding and executing the contract — will follow so the project can move into preconstruction and construction as scheduled.
Next steps: staff will finalize contract paperwork with PGA Inc. and schedule preconstruction meetings so the contractor can mobilize.
