Assembly approves agenda and consent agenda; adds landfill leachate-evaporator appropriation

The assembly unanimously approved the Nov. 18 agenda and consent agenda after two unanimous-consent requests. Assemblymember Neeson moved to add Ordinance 2025-19-17, an appropriation for the Central Peninsula Landfill leachate evaporator project, to the consent agenda and requested unanimous consent; no objections were raised. Assemblymember Churchill moved to withdraw KPB-7303 from the agenda and requested unanimous consent; no objections were raised. The assembly then approved the agenda and consent agenda as amended by unanimous consent.
Clerk read the consent agenda items aloud; they included the landfill leachate ordinance (sponsor: the mayor), resolutions to designate an investment and allocation plan for the Burrows Land Trust Investment Fund and to support transportation priorities for state grant submissions, ordinances adding two full-time 9-1-1 public safety dispatch positions and accepting $426,303 in CAP Grama funds for community assistance, and several appointments (including Kelly M. Brewer to the Nikiski Advisory Planning Commission). The clerk and assembly noted hearings scheduled for Dec. 2 on some ordinances.
The assembly took no separate roll-call votes on the individual consent items during the meeting; the agenda and consent agenda were approved as moved and amended.
