The Burrillville Town Council added an emergency agenda item and voted to adopt a supplemental declaration to remain in a state of emergency in step with the governor’s declaration for the winter storm response.
Town manager Michael Seawood requested the executive-session item under Rhode Island Open Meetings law to discuss two property matters (120 Maple Main Street and an additional parcel referenced by map/lot) and to consider entering an agreement with a prospective business. The council moved and voted to enter executive session under the cited statute.
Council members said the supplemental declaration was necessary to conform to state timing provisions and to enable town operations (snow removal and related logistics) during the emergency period. The meeting then recessed for executive session as recorded.
