Sutton said the project was paused last fall to reassess configuration and that staff and the implementer negotiated a change order to extend timeline and cover implementation services.
Sutton provided a cost summary: the change order is $1,088,925; the total project budget is $13,500,000; the original software implementation contract was approximately $4,000,128, meaning the change order represents a material increase in implementation services. She said the ERP project is 100% funded by ARPA and that the county plans to absorb the change within the ERP ARPA budget; if project needs change, staff will return to the committee with updates and potential reallocation requests.
CIO Chris Blanding described a governance framework and a use‑case approach (10–12 countywide use cases) to guide configuration and implementation. He said the team is seeking broad departmental input to align processes and avoid rework; the target go‑live window is quarter 4, pending collaboration and final timelines.
Members asked for a visual breakdown showing initial budget, pauses, and subsequent change‑order timing and amounts; staff agreed to provide a detailed cost and timeline breakdown at the next update. Sutton said annual Workday updates and a post‑production governance model will be needed to manage configuration changes going forward.
