West Valley City honors 58 Clean and Beautiful award recipients; 22 present for recognition

The West Valley City Council recognized 58 properties selected for the 2025 Clean and Beautiful Awards during its Sept. 23 meeting. Craig Thomas of the Community Engagement and Culture Department described the program as a volunteer-driven tradition and thanked neighborhood-services staff and committee volunteers; 22 property owners attended the ceremony.
Thomas noted the committee is a 19-seat volunteer panel with a small number of vacancies and thanked sponsors Shiny Shell and Wasatch Properties for supporting the awards. Recipients came forward for a group photo and council members encouraged residents to consider volunteering for the committee.
The recognition concluded before the council moved into the public-comment period.
