Commissioners questioned whether the service requires state licensure or certification; staff clarified that certification may be available but state professional licensing of the practice is not required.
A motion to deny the appeal relied on the business-license division’s determination and carried by voice vote. Staff advised Ms. Huerta that the next step for contesting the denial would be to seek relief through superior court.
