The executive committee reviewed one application for the Waste Reduction District’s community grant program and heard that the Citizen Advisory Committee recommended awarding that applicant $3,000.
Tom Glassman summarized the CAC review process and said the CAC will submit a written recommendation for the full board packet. Committee members asked for a short report back at the end of the grant period to document impact. Because the district appropriated $20,000 for the program and only one application was received, the CAC suggested reopening the application window to attract more projects that could be completed during the current fiscal year.
No formal vote was taken at the executive-committee level; staff will include the CAC’s recommendation and product links in the board packet and will present the proposal to the full board next week for final approval.
