Council adopts code amendments on noncommercial signage and assembly in agricultural districts

The first ordinance updates provisions on noncommercial signage (section 070110 of the Unified Land Development Code). The ordinance was read into the record, there was no public comment, and the council approved it by roll call.
The second ordinance updates Article 35 (conditional uses) to clarify rules for indoor and outdoor assembly in agricultural districts. Council members discussed that enforcement of some code violations remains largely reactive (neighbors must report signs or activities on private property) and emphasized that the change does not intentionally increase restrictions on lawful businesses. The ordinance passed on second reading by unanimous roll call.
