Framingham officials say no decision yet on Hemingway school; new building could open in 2031

"Há um processo em que nós olhamos as opções para as escolas, que poderia ser construir 1 escola nova no lugar onde a Hemeyue está, ou adicionar 1 parte ou renovar ou 1 escola totalmente nova que vai substituir essa escola," he said.
Trembli named Hemingway as the school under review and said the district is looking both at renovating the existing building and at building a replacement at another site. He stressed that no decision has been made: "Então não decidimos nada ainda." The superintendent gave an example planning timeframe, saying that if a new school is approved the earliest realistic opening would be 2031.
District staff said multiple community meetings and design sessions will be scheduled to gather feedback and work with architects and designers. Families were told that further details on site selection, program impacts and enrollment consequences will be available as the planning process proceeds.
The meeting included no vote or formal action to commit to any option; Trembli and staff framed the presentation as informational and as the start of a community engagement process.
