The Gaston County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 27 approved several land-use changes and an economic incentive the county’s economic development staff said could draw large industrial users to the county.
Planning staff summarized three public hearings the board took up: a rehearing on a rezoning request for parcel ID 166759, a rezoning at 110 Rayfield Drive (REZ-24-06-17-00184) and a rezoning at 220 Brentwood Lane (REZ-24-06-29-008). Planner Jamie Kimberilou told the board the planning board unanimously recommended approval of each request and staff found the proposals consistent with the county’s comprehensive land use plan in each case.
