The council approved a large consent agenda covering 18 minute orders, three ordinances and 14 resolutions that included items such as annual requirements contracts for concrete repair and fleet maintenance, purchases of audio‑visual and public‑safety radio equipment, mill‑and‑overlay programs, landscape improvements along I‑30 and an agreement for Tarrant County property tax collection for 2026‑2028.
Ethan Close presented parameters for several bond sales to fund public‑safety radios, fire apparatus and other capital improvements; the council adopted the bond‑sale parameter ordinances. Judge Evans requested a first reading to appoint two part‑time municipal court judges, recommending Celso Bedura and Karen Williams; the council approved the appointment on a recorded motion.
Two specific use permits were approved with conditions: SUP25‑01 for Sick Wraps and Custom Installs at 2712 West Division Street (the applicant, Michael Thrash, said he will perform indoor vinyl wrapping and ceramic‑coating work and the SUP is non‑assignable) and SUP25‑04 to allow a banquet hall at 1645 New York Avenue (applicant Armando Aguilar said the space will host family events, principally one Saturday event per week; the planning commission required resurfacing and restriping the parking directly in front of the building). The council approved both permits after applicant presentations and council questions.
