The Board of Education’s chair said the district has narrowed its superintendent search to four candidates and will select two finalists on Friday, with the names released publicly afterward. "We have narrowed down, our search to 4 strong candidates, and the interviews are continuing this week," the chair said during the meeting.
The district’s search firm, Finding Leaders, will organize a community town hall where residents can meet finalists and provide feedback. The chair said the finalists will be in the district earlier on March 10 to meet students and staff; the community forum will be in the Twinsburg High School auditorium with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., questions to be submitted by roughly 5:40 p.m., and a roughly 45-minute community session planned.
Why it matters: selecting a superintendent will shape district leadership, policy priorities and school operations. The board said it prioritized community input in the process and will finalize interviews and a selection during a board session on Friday.
The chair declined at the meeting to discuss candidate names before the board votes; the board said it will release the two finalists after its Friday interviews. No final appointment was made at the public session.
