The Chena Riverfront Commission held internal elections and appointments on Jan. 28.
With one nomination for chair, the clerk declared the incumbent elected by default; commissioners expressed unanimous support during the roll call and no formal ballot was required. For vice chair, Commissioner Binkley nominated Bob Pristache; the nomination was seconded and the commission confirmed Pristache unanimously.
The commission also voted to expand the Chena Riverfront Plan subcommittee by appointing Commissioner Stacy Fritz to avoid quorum issues for the subcommittee and increase its capacity to meet monthly; the motion passed 7-0 after discussion and a second. The clerk recorded the votes as unanimous where noted.
No additional formal policy actions were taken during these agenda votes; the commission’s business continued with project briefings afterward.
