Judge Trillie L. Bottom opened the meeting and the court moved to approve the previous meeting minutes and a set of budget transfers totaling $79,711.85, which included shifting funds from the LGEA budget to a salt line item. Treasurer Shannon Green presented the transfers and the court approved them by voice vote.
Green also outlined several cash transfers the court approved: $500,000 from an interest-bearing account to the general fund; $10,113.81 from the jail fund into the Boyle jail fund; $50,000 from the general fund to a separate fund described in the packet; $150,000 to the jail and $200,000 to EMS. All were approved on motions and voice votes.
The court considered and approved the bills packet, $351,346.94, after a brief explanation from a department representative that a state grant allowed a vendor cost difference to be covered.
On appointments, the court approved the reappointment of Jennifer Broadwater to the Danville/Boyle County Chamber (a CVV board seat). Kendall said Broadwater "is willing to serve again" and the motion carried by voice vote.
The court also approved a request to fund outside counsel for the county ethics commission. The county attorney reported guidance recommending outside counsel to avoid conflicts of interest in upcoming hearings; the court approved $10,000 to cover counsel through the end of the year.
The meeting record shows the court handled these routine fiscal items through motions and voice votes; no roll-call tallies were taken at those items.
