Pasco council appoints Mac Funk to Housing Authority board in 5–1 vote

The Pasco City Council on March 2 appointed Mac Funk to position number 5 on the Housing Authority of the City of Pasco and Franklin County Board of Commissioners. The appointment was effective immediately and will run through January 2031.
City staff said a council subcommittee (Mayor Grimm, Councilmembers Morales and Cata) interviewed two finalists — Amanda Brown and Mac Funk — on Feb. 24 and recommended Funk based on his property‑management experience, including managing Section 8 properties. Councilmembers discussed Funk’s experience and residency and the council voted 5–1 to confirm the appointment.
Councilmember Figueroa raised residency questions (Funk had more recent local ties but had lived elsewhere previously), and councilmembers said they valued the candidate’s management experience for the Housing Authority board.
