MRPC staff transition underway as LCC analyst Andrew Intergeorge takes on duties; Drive Month outreach to be scaled back
Summary
Outgoing MRPC staff Chris is transitioning responsibilities to LCC analyst Andrew Intergeorge; the executive group agreed to a phased handover, an amended Odyssey contract (to hourly), and to limit this year's Drive Month outreach while planning larger America 250 activities for 2026.

Andrew Intergeorge, a research analyst with the Legislative Coordinating Commission, told the committee he is stepping into more MRPC duties and is meeting regularly with outgoing staff person Chris to absorb processes and materials. "I'm a currently a research analyst with the Legislative Coordinating Commission, and I'm happy to be... learning more about the MRPC as we transition," Andrew said.
Chris described a phased handover through the end of the calendar year, with documentation of contacts, passwords and contracts to be transferred and continued limited consulting support: the committee discussed converting an existing monthly Odyssey Group retainer to an as‑needed hourly arrangement through June 30, 2026, to avoid overlapping costs while Andrew assumes workload.
Members also debated whether to run a full Drive Month program this year given staff changes and partner capacity. Anne Lewis and others recommended scaling outreach to a "plan your trip" promotion and deferring larger events to 2026, when America 250 celebrations could provide a higher‑visibility opportunity. Chris said the plan‑your‑trip materials and a new website section could provide sufficient visibility without a full launch event.
The committee encouraged a phased public rollout—introducing Andrew to partners at upcoming interpretive‑centers meetings and gradually shifting Chris's responsibilities—so partner relations and key annual activities continue without a disruptive gap.
