Planning and Zoning Commission adopts 2026 meeting calendar, ratifies Sept. 24 minutes

Dr. Ignacio Nunez, chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Origin, called the commission to order on Oct. 8, 2025 and confirmed there were no agenda cases or public speakers for the evening. “I hereby call this regularly noticed meeting of the city of origin's planning and zoning commission regular session to order for 10/08/2025,” he said.

With presenter Jensy Toppel absent, a committee member summarized the substance of the proposed 2026 calendar, saying, “We have adjusted the calendar to accommodate not having back to back meetings with council, if at all possible.” The commission discussed no further changes.

Chair Nunez asked for questions and, hearing none, entertained a motion to approve the calendar. He recorded the motion as made by Commissioner Blake and seconded by Commissioner Grier; the commission voted and the motion passed, recorded as “Motion passes 9 to nothing.” The commission also approved the minutes of its Sept. 24 regular session earlier in the meeting (recorded in the transcript as “Passes”), with no mover/second specified in the record.
