A roster of student performers from across Southfield Public Schools provided vocal, instrumental, dance and rap selections during the virtual Founders' Day Talent Showcase. Performances included ensembles and solo pieces presented by students from McIntyre Elementary, Stevenson Elementary, Levy Middle School, Southfield High School for the Arts and Technology, Thompson K–8 International Academy and University K–12 Academy.
Organizers introduced and congratulated the district's "GOATs" (Greatest of All Time) student honorees and presented council member and staff-of-the-year recognitions. Event organizers named council members of the year and listed educator and administrator award recipients by school.
Several musical selections and ensemble pieces were performed live for viewers. One performer urged the audience to "Let's celebrate" as the showcase moved through its program; organizers directed viewers to the district YouTube channel to watch complete performances and award presentations.
The event combined celebration, student recognition and appreciation for volunteers and school leaders; no policy actions or votes were taken during the showcase.
